The Bronze Statue Of The Leader Germanicus

The protagonist of the exhibition, which is of high quality, is undoubtedly the bronze statue depicting the Roman general Nero Claudius Drusus said Germanico, found at Amelia in 1963 during the excavation for the construction of a mill. The long and meticulous work of reconstruction, from numerous fragments, yielded a monument of exceptional visual impact, among the finest examples of Roman statuary.
The Archaeological Museum is housed in the former Amelia Boccarini College and preserves archaeological evidence of the ancient Umbrian town of "America" from its origins to all'Altomedioevo.
The route is through themed itineraries that provide a detailed reconstruction of the various aspects of the ancient city.
